- Activation Code Activation codes are the “passwords” used to unlock your download games once purchased. To make your game installations as easy as we possibly can, we now accept the email address associated with the purchase transaction of your game for you to easily remember as your activation code. Each download game purchase from us may be installed up to three times for your convenience and enjoyment.

Backup CD
A Backup CD gives you a physical backup of the games you buy and have additional content such as trial games that you can install and try out. They are especially useful for users with slower internet connectivity so that installation time is greatly reduced.
They may be purchased only at the time of the purchase of your game ($9.99 for non-members or 1000 iCoins for Club iWin or All Access subscribers). The activation code associated with each purchase doesn't allow us to do it any other way. Backup CDs are defaulted to our shopping cart at checkout time - you have the option to remove the disc before you submit your order.
Installing purchased games with Backup CDs does require an internet connection for the activation process, which is identical to that of download installations. Game purchases with Backup CDs are subject to the same limitations on number of subsequent activations as our download games.

Direct X
Microsoft DirectX is a collection of small programs that developers use to allow their program to talk to Windows. DirectX allows developers to use the same tools to ensure that their programs will be able to run on Windows. Once you install DirectX on your computer, it is possible that your games will still not run. This is why you should also check for updates to the DirectX package. These updates corrects error in older versions and add new capabilities to use newer hardware. However, Simply installing the latest version of DirectX does not guarantee that every game made will work on your computer. You must also make sure to update the Drivers(software) for your video, sound and input devices(like your mouse). You will need to go to the manufacture's website of the video card, sound device or mouse and keyboard in your computer to download and install the latest drivers.
The latest version of Microsoft DirectX is version 11. This can easily be downloaded from the Microsoft website at http://www.microsoft.com/directx. In order to find out which version of DirectX you have installed on your system, click on the Start button and select the "Run..." option. Then type in the word Dxdiag and press the OK button. If you get any warning message just click on the Yes button. You will then see the Dxdiag information box like the one below.
If you are requested to send in your Dxdiag information simply click on the "Save All Information" button and name your file. Then save your file someone on your computer(we suggest your Desktop, so that you can fild it easily). You can then attach the results to your support ticket.

Download Game
As the term implies, download games you may install on your computer. They are characterized by rich graphics and sounds. Registered users can install download games to Play free with absolutely no time limit! or for 60 minute trials. Once you’ve decided to purchase a game title, you have the option of doing so by either standard payment forms or at a discounted price with our iCoins virtual currency. Each download game purchase has an activation code which can be used for a total of three times. This is especially useful for owners of second computers or for the unfortunate situation of hardware failures. You are not limited by the length of time you can play the game nor the number of times you can initiate new sessions of your game. All download games require an internet connection for initial activation.
- Full Screen Nearly all games available on iWin.com are available to be viewed in full screen (as the name suggests, it takes over your entire monitor) or windowed mode (a smaller view of the game while leaving room for other activities you might be doing). Sometimes your game play is so engaging that you don't want any distractions from it, other times you may want to multi-task and view other items on your screen simultaneously. While many games will differ on how to adjust this setting (typically from the game's "Options" or "Menu"), it should be fairly intuitive for achieving the game experience you are seeking.

Earning Opals™ is not a strenuous, labor intensive process. You earn Opals by having fun - playing the games you love.
For each minute you play of our "Play Free, No Time Limit" game titles time that you play you earn 1 Opal, which accrue in your account.
For each minute you play of games that you've purchased from us, you earn 2 Opals, which accrue in your account.
You can earn Opals for game play time totalling twelve hours a day.

Processor

Processor Speed
Processor Speed is defined by the number of cycles per second that the Central Processing Unit or CPU processes information. The measurement of this speed is megahertz. You can determine your Processor Speed from your computer's dxdiag file.
- Purchase Only Games that are not currently offered for All Access have the designation "purchase only" on the game's home page. Most of these titles we are not able to offer temporarily for contractual reasons but will usually eventually be available. In the meantime you should be able to take advantage of free trial time available to enjoy the game and purchase the ones you really love at low member prices.
