Family Feud on Facebook: Someone put multiple answers in during Tournament Play! Couldn't this be considered cheating?

We are currently looking into methods with which to prevent the cheating and exploitation of the ability to input multiple words as answers in Tournament Play from occurring. We hope to have a timely resolution to this issue and we definitely understand the frustration it causes, however we still need some time to discuss the impact on the community. Our main concern is that the solution doesn't negatively impact those whose intentions are honorable. It's unfortunately not as simple as limiting answers to one word.

The developers of Family Feud on Facebook cannot limit the amount of allowable words for any answer in a Fast Money round to one word, as many questions can best be answered using phrases or even short sentences. If there were a limit on the amount of words that could be entered, it would limit the variety of questions that could be asked in the game, thereby lessening the fun.

Since the users who are entering multiple choices are still technically answering the question correctly, the game recognizes that. However, it is important to note that they will get the points for only one correct answer.   They do not receive multiple instances of points for any correct response.

Please keep in mind that these users are not playing Tournament Play in real time, nor do they know they are playing against you. Therefore, any comments or discussion board posts that include specific users' URLs will be deleted in order to protect our community. We are doing what we can to protect those who are unaware that they are being posted about, as well as prevent this exploit from continuing so that users who feel they are being treated unfairly by others' game habits are satisfied with the solution.
